These are the first digits of pi. Because today is pi day. Pi day is special because of the importance of pi in our lives. Pi is used for anything and everything related to circles. It's also how we test the power of computers is by having it find the digits of pi. Now most people may not think circles, but they are. For one, we are living on a circle* orbiting in a circle around a circle that's all making a circle of the galaxy. Also, most items use a form of circles so it's needed in basically every field of study. Plus, who's going to pass up a chance to get free pie? What's really cool about pi, is how it challenges kids to think in new way about math. This is because if you are given a number with no ending, how do you add it? It forces people to think about how would you calculate the digits of pi? It's a way for teachers to get their students excited to understand how big mathematical concept work, and to learn the real importance of math**, the importance of the journey, and the critical thinking abilities that you are taught. This is cool to me, and I hope you find it at least semi-interesting as well.
*technically none of those circles are circles, they are ellipses, but that's not the point of this.

My Soccer Team (day 13)

I am on a U14 Boys Rapids White 1 team. I love playing soccer. My team is comprised of 16 kids (including me). This is my second year playing with this team, but I have been playing soccer since Kindergarten. Soccer is what helps me get my mind away from school. It's the one time I don't really have to think. A dream (day 12)

I’m on Mars. Don’t ask why, I don’t know the answer either. I’m conversing with the local martians. outside of some apartments. All of these are made out of the same material as the martians (sand). All I can see is the same color except for the race course, and my opponent. The race-course is a metal staircase and my opponent is Curious George in a space suit. The race starts and we both slowly run to the top (it’s hard to run in a spacesuit in a low G environment). I reach the top of the stairs and slip on a small patch of ice. I manage to grab the edge of the staircase and hold on. Suddenly, Curious George reaches the top, and pushes me off. I wake up scared and don’t fall back to sleep. Things Fall Apart (day 11)

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is a great book that was written to show how african people were not savages and actually had a society. This story follows a man neared Okonkwo as he watches white people destroy his whole life around him.

This was a really great book. I loved it. It had great writing and an enticing plot. I would recommend this book to most AS students. It's one of the best books I have read. Remember to comment, subscribe, and drink more hot chocolate.

Gaijin a book review (day 10)

Giajin by Matt Faulkner is a graphic novel about a teenager that has to live in an internment camp. This is a very emotional story about a boy and his mother. I loved this story, and would recommend it for everyone in 4th grade and up. Remember to comment, subscribe, and drink more hot chocolate.

FC Barcelona (day 9)

I can’t believe I’m actually here. It’s giant. My dad and I take a picture at the sign with the FC Barcelona logo; we then go in. There are thousands of people milling around in front of the stadium, taking pictures with the giant billboard of the players. We enter and find our seats. They are the third level up, and the field looks tiny from here. We see the players make their way onto the field. I can barely see their numbers. I’m still excited to be here. This is one of the best teams in the world. The whistle blows, the timer starts, and the game begins. I am so excited.
