Of Mice and Men
Of Mice and Men is a realistic fiction classic by John Steinbeck. This book follows two men (Lennie and George) as they try to scrape by. This is a great story that explores the ideas of poverty, identity, and the American dream. The writing style is great, and you connect with the characters on a personal level. The book is a quick read, and while there isn't much excitement, it is more than well replaced by good writing and intense emotions. This book is definitely one of the best books that I have ever read. This book would be a good read for 6th graders and up (due to the use of unusual grammar). This book would be amazing for any reader that is looking for a classic, well written book .
