These are the first digits of pi. Because today is pi day. Pi day is special because of the importance of pi in our lives. Pi is used for anything and everything related to circles. It's also how we test the power of computers is by having it find the digits of pi. Now most people may not think circles, but they are. For one, we are living on a circle* orbiting in a circle around a circle that's all making a circle of the galaxy. Also, most items use a form of circles so it's needed in basically every field of study. Plus, who's going to pass up a chance to get free pie? What's really cool about pi, is how it challenges kids to think in new way about math. This is because if you are given a number with no ending, how do you add it? It forces people to think about how would you calculate the digits of pi? It's a way for teachers to get their students excited to understand how big mathematical concept work, and to learn the real importance of math**, the importance of the journey, and the critical thinking abilities that you are taught. This is cool to me, and I hope you find it at least semi-interesting as well.
*technically none of those circles are circles, they are ellipses, but that's not the point of this.
